REGIONAL, MULTI-SCALED, MULTI-TEMPORAL LAND USE AND LAND COVER DATA TO SUPPORT GLOBAL CHANGE RESEARCH, LAND USE MANAGEMENT, AND POLICY MAKING: A SEARRIN LUCC PROJECT
Countries Involved: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, USA, Vietnam
Principal Investigator: Dr. David L. Skole, Director

The overall goal of this project is to develop and provide access to accurate geospatial land use and land cover data (including current conditions), and to forecast trends of land-use and cover change (LUCC) to the global change science community, land use managers, and policy makers. The aim of the project is to improve the scientific understanding of the processes that link land use and land cover change to global change issues and subsequent policies.
